We thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas break this year. I tried really hard to keep positive about having all of the kids home for so long. I had so much fun with them. I must admit... I am a blanket fort scrooge. I hate the mess of it... but I tolerate it every once in awhile. This wasn't a fort... it was the teachers lounge for the kids pretend school.
Petey had a birthday! I still can't believe he's THREE! That flew by so fast. One minute he was my little guy and now he is my little man! He is speaking in full sentences now and seems so giant now that Henry is here.He is obsessed with Wreck it Ralph. He can't get enough. I made him his very own 'wreck-it' pinata thing. He broke through each window to find a special prize. He is still playing with the remains of this a month later!
We started a new tradition of decorating the tree for his birthday. We hung "gold-a-blooms" (aka gold doubloons) all over the house since he's Jake and the Neverland Pirates obsessed as well.
I got an accordion for Christmas... I learned to play Happy Birthday to You on it just in time for the birthday celebration. I need a learn a few more little diddies...
He was the cutest little man unwrapping his gifts. I love him so much.
I think this razor bike thing was his favorite...
He loves all things that are horrible for you. We got a fun little chocolate fountain, all the fixins to dip in it, and invited a few families over to celebrate our Petey-boo. It was perfect.
He is the cutest candle blower I have ever seen. Those lips...
It was a big hit!
As was his wreck-it building!
We got him a little trampoline as well. He digs it.
These two BFFS... {love}.
He is our New Years Eve baby. Someday he's going to have some pretty rockin parties with his friends. Until then we stick with our usual of going to someone elses house. I really wanted to stay in this year but we bundled up and headed to some new friends for the night. Petey was my little sidekick for a lot of the time. He loved the veggie straws.
Many games were played... we laughed and had a lot of fun.
The kids did their thing around the house. I don't think there was a single fight among all 13 children. Amazing.
Graham kept to himself... per the usual.
We found the two toddlers snuggled up on the couch watching Super Why at one point.
The moms played Ticket to Ride...
The dads played strange alien games...
Everyone lasted until midnight! I was highly disappointed that we didn't watch the ball drop. I was the minority that actually wanted to see it. There is always next year...
