graham.

Oh my Graham.  This boy sure knows how to keep me on my toes!   We came home from a long day and he pretended to be asleep on the chair so Daddy would carry him up to bed.  Then he fell asleep for real and got his wish!
He loves to do his hair in a mohawk.  We told him he can, but not to church.  Last Sunday as soon as we came home I found Jayne helping him get his mohawk in.  It was so cute.

train rides.

The endodontist we bought our practice from drives these little trains around one of our local metroparks on the weekends.  He loves it.  It reminds me of my dad who works in the nursery at the hospital on the weekends.  They've invited our family a few times and we finally got a picture this time.  I was at the quilting show, but I hear they all had a blast!
We are driving to Utah early this morning to visit family!  Luckily we have our van and don't have to ride the train!  We'll be there for three weeks.  I can't wait to have some quality family time!

1st haircut!

Petey-boo turned 18 months this week. That meant that he got to go to nursery for the first time!  He did really well for a first timer.  He's been going in off and on for the last month since Jeremy and I are always so busy on Sundays... but this time they didn't bring him to us when he cried.  He did well unless the door opened and then he would fall apart.  Typical Peter.

He also got his first haircut!  It was time.  Check out that length!
I love his curls... it was so hard to say good-bye... but they were getting more yucky and less cute...
He has no idea what is about to happen.... and he is such a little white man.  Takes after his mommy.
When he wasn't side-swiggin... he was giggling his head off!  He thought it was so funny!
Being silly for the after shots....  (He cut his head the day before the pictures were taken... poor guy!)
Crazy big brother....
All three of my boys with their summer buzz cuts!

sunday afternoons.

I love Sunday afternoons that look like this......

Daddy and the boys are putting a puzzle together, the girls are playing disney headbandz, Peter is napping, and I'm in the kitchen making dinner.  My favorite day of the week.

fathers day experiment.

We had a very laid back Father's Day this year.   The highlight for Jeremy was reading all of the fun things the kids wrote for him.  He said he was in heaven sitting on the couch with all of them around him.  Perfect gift.
Later that afternoon Lincoln pulled out his science experiment set he got at cubs scout camp last week.  They had fun working on the experiment while I made dinner.

tithing.

Since Jeremy is in the bishopric, he always has to take turns doing the tithing after church.  We usually wait for him outside for the half hour or so.  We got really bored last week and decided to take silly pictures...

saying 'see ya later!'

I hate good-byes.  Loathe them actually.  Especially when they involve some of the dearest people you've ever met in your entire life.  People that your entire family just loves and adores.  We had to say good-bye to some of our best friends out here this past week.  It still hurts my heart to think about it.  We got together with another family and had a 'last supper' of sorts before they left.  We ate delicious food...
The kids played together in the basement while the parents played speed scrabble.  I kept getting the Q and the Z every time.  Jeremy kept getting the J.
The boys played a little wii while the girls had some chatting time.
These two girls saved my life the past three years.  I love them like sisters.  They will always have a huge place in my heart.  Friends like this don't come around very often.  I am sure lucky that I have two of them!
Our daughters are all the same age and have been buddies too.  They are just too cute.
The good news is... they are moving to Utah!  That means that I don't have to say good-bye and I get to say see you later!  It's a good thing because I miss them already!

books-a-go-go!

Our elementary school is doing a program this summer called "books-a-go-go".  Each Tuesday night we get to come to the school and have a yummy dinner, make a craft, and hear a story read by several of the teachers.  We decided to give it a try last week and we had the best time!  The kids got to decorate a canvas bag to carry their books in each week.  (the library is open so they can check books out when we come.)
This time the librarian read the stories.  It was fun to meet her because I get mistaken for her nearly every time I visit the school!  I can sort of see the resemblance...
We'll definitely be heading back every Tuesday that we can!  The kids loved being in the school during the summertime and seeing their old teachers.  Such a fun program!

quilting show.

I was able to go down to the quilting show with some dear friends this year.  It is my second time going and is really such a treat.  We left early afternoon on Friday and drove the 2.5 hours down to Columbus.  We love to go shopping at this giant shopping center.  We ate at the best Mexican restaurant I've ever been to.  The tortilla chips are to die for.  I want some right now.   They were so thin and crispy....
I got these delicious little street tacos.  So tasty.
There was a Lego store.  I had to take a picture of R2 for my boys.  Even though they aren't Star Wars freaks anymore, they still love a good Lego creation.
We had to get Graeter's ice cream while we were there.  I got black raspberry chocolate.  The chocolate chunks were huge and delicious!
I really wanted to get some new clothes for our trip to Utah so I don't feel so frumpy while I'm there.  I was striking out until we went to H & M and then I scored!  I love it when I find clothes that fit me!
After visiting the shops at the quilting show in the morning, we headed to our favorite Market for lunch.
This lady serenaded us with her guitar and kazoo while we ate our lunch... she was actually really good!  I almost bought her cd.
I got the tastiest Indian food for lunch.  It was so spicy... but so yummy.
I got the weirdest ice cream I've ever had for dessert.  Juniper with lemon curd.  It was divine!
Every year there is this big gay pride parade at the same time as the quilting show.  It didn't disappoint this year.
These guys were my favorite, favorite.
Cher even made a grand appearance.  (drag queens unite!)
I was amazed at the turnout for this parade.  It was mostly just people marching from the 5 minutes we saw.  Did you know that it's legal to go topless in Columbus?  SO gross.
After purchasing our goods... we spent the last little bit checking out the amazing quilts.  They were pretty incredible this year!
I learned that I have a huge crush on 1930s fabric.  I can't wait to make a quilt out of all of these beauties!
One of my favorites... I'm hoping to make a baby quilt out of this someday for a future Wilde baby.
I didn't take a single picture of the three of us!  Lame, lame, lame!
We didn't want to go home just yet so we stopped to see a movie.  We didn't realize until we got in there that it was one of those places that serves you dinner while you watch the show!  SO much fun.  We saw What to Expect When You're Expecting.  I haven't laughed that hard in ages!
It was just the break that I needed!  I can't wait for next year!
