baby update.

The reality that we have another little boy headed to our family has really sunk in and we are all getting so excited!  We have decided that his first name will be Henry (after lots of long talks with Daddy... we got him on board with our favorite name!)  We are still working on a middle name.  Henry will be named after one of our favorite General Authorities, Henry B. Eyring, as well as an ancestor on Jeremy's side of the family, Henry Brown Wilde.  I'm thinking his middle name needs to start with a B. :)

I needed to get out of the house one night.  Jeremy sent me on my way and said, "Go buy something fun!"  He expected me to get something fun for myself... but I found something even better.... tiny baby clothes!  This may be his coming home outfit.  I'm not sure yet.
After a week of doing way too much... I started having some pretty mean contractions and lots of aches and pains.  I called the doctor and he said to "take it easy and do the bare minimum".  Then he laughed because he knows that I have five other children.  I tried my best and am feeling much better for the most part.  I still get very achy at night and I definitely know when I've done too much.  I'm trying to be good and take care of myself... I really am.
We had another ultrasound to make sure his little heart was healthy.  At the last one he was way too comfortable using the placenta for a pillow and they couldn't get a good shot.  I am so happy with these pictures!  He's going to be such a handsome little guy!
I went to the thrift store without kids one night and was able to find several fun tiny outfits.  Baby boy clothes are like little man clothes.  I love them.
I had another appointment and was told that I need to take my glucose test early because of the size of Peter and the fact that I have been borderline diabetic with every other pregnancy.  I go next week.  Bleh.  I also had horrible blood test results and was warned that if I didn't start taking iron... I would be in serious trouble.  So... I now have my very own "old person" medicine containers.  You know... the one with the little slots for each day.  I have been very diligent with taking all of my vitamins each day.  I can already tell a huge difference.
Gracie needed some one on one attention so we went shopping one night.  We ended up in the little person section and she helped me pick some more clothes for Henry.  We had way too much fun.  I am obsessed and have cut myself off from buying anymore clothing 0-9 months.  This kid has enough!
My sister-in-law had her tiny girl this week!  It made me even more excited for September!

Memorial Day- FUN!

We seriously had the best Memorial Day.  We had so much quality family time.  It was incredible.  We found a little ice cream/pizza shop in Kirtland and stopped for lunch.  We had to wait for a the pizza so naturally we had dessert first!
Then we took the kids miniature golfing!  It was fun for the first nine holes and then it started raining and the kids got bored... and we were all kind of done.  But we stuck it out and finished all 18 holes.  (except for me... it was too hard to keep track of all the kids, keep score and try to do well.)
We ended the day with a BBQ with friends.  We taught them about our tradition to send balloons up to Lacey.

Memorial Day- Kirtland Cemetery.

If we had been in Utah for Memorial Day we would have gone to visit my little sister Lacey's grave.  I want to instill in my children why we celebrate this holiday so we decided to go and visit the Kirtland Cemetery.  We had the best time.
We taught them about how all of the graves with tiny flags on them were people that served in wars so that we could have the freedoms that we enjoy today.
We also showed them a few of the more famous graves in this particular cemetery.  The girls loved hearing more about Thankful Pratt and all of the Smiths that were buried there.
We had fun teaching them cemetery etiquette and trying to locate any ancestors that we might have known.
My favorite...
Peter was so worried about this gravestone that was tipping over.  He tried really hard to make it straight again.
This is how an outing with the whole family usually ends... with Peter being dragged away because he's having too much fun to walk with us.
I'm so grateful we live so close to so much amazing church history.  I love where we live!

memorial day-parade.

We were able to join our best friends the Ellsworths for the Wickliffe Memorial Day Parade again this year.  Our kids sure love each other...
I told the kids to grab something to carry their candy home in... Graham grabbed his scripture case.  Nice.
Lincoln and Reuben brought their classic hats to catch their candy in.
Waiting for the parade to start....
This picture is my favorite.  We are going to miss these kids so much!
This parade is the candy parade.  Peter was thrilled when people started throwing candy at him!
This truck was my favorite.  The whole parade is filled with marching bands, scout troops, veterans, city people, and sports teams.
Catching the candy...
Taking a break to eat the candy...
Being blootyful...
They scored!
Peter was so happy!
The girls said that all they wanted to see in the parade was Santa Claus.  I told them not to get their hopes up.... He was there sporting the tiniest little shorts... it was just wrong.
