all better!

A week ago today this cute little mug went and had his first surgery.  He got tubes put in his ears! He was such a little trooper!  He wasn't allowed to eat anything for 12 hours before.  We had to be to the hospital at 6:15am and his surgery wasn't scheduled until 7:45am.  That is a long time for a little boo to wait to eat.  He was a charmer in the waiting room and made everyone have a happier day by giving them loads of smiles and giggles.  He surprised me by choosing to 'play' xbox rather than play with the mountains of toys they had available.
He handled the anethesia really well until he came out of it.  Then he was a thrashing, yelling, tantrum throwing crazy man.  He wanted nothing to do with me, the nurses, the apple juice... nothing!  We had to wait there for half an hour so they could monitor him.  The minute they said, "You can go home now!"  He held on to me tight, put his little head on my shoulder and was perfectly content.  When we got home he guzzled his bottle and was the happiest little man you ever did see!
The doctor said that he had more puss and infection in his ears than he'd seen in a long time.  SO grateful that we had this procedure done!  The results have been nothing short of a miracle in my eyes.  His eating habits have more than improved,  he takes baths without screaming and thrashing around, and he is happier than I've ever seen him!  Now, if we could just get him to sleep through the night again... everything would be perfect.
