quilting show.

I was able to go down to the quilting show with some dear friends this year.  It is my second time going and is really such a treat.  We left early afternoon on Friday and drove the 2.5 hours down to Columbus.  We love to go shopping at this giant shopping center.  We ate at the best Mexican restaurant I've ever been to.  The tortilla chips are to die for.  I want some right now.   They were so thin and crispy....
I got these delicious little street tacos.  So tasty.
There was a Lego store.  I had to take a picture of R2 for my boys.  Even though they aren't Star Wars freaks anymore, they still love a good Lego creation.
We had to get Graeter's ice cream while we were there.  I got black raspberry chocolate.  The chocolate chunks were huge and delicious!
I really wanted to get some new clothes for our trip to Utah so I don't feel so frumpy while I'm there.  I was striking out until we went to H & M and then I scored!  I love it when I find clothes that fit me!
After visiting the shops at the quilting show in the morning, we headed to our favorite Market for lunch.
This lady serenaded us with her guitar and kazoo while we ate our lunch... she was actually really good!  I almost bought her cd.
I got the tastiest Indian food for lunch.  It was so spicy... but so yummy.
I got the weirdest ice cream I've ever had for dessert.  Juniper with lemon curd.  It was divine!
Every year there is this big gay pride parade at the same time as the quilting show.  It didn't disappoint this year.
These guys were my favorite, favorite.
Cher even made a grand appearance.  (drag queens unite!)
I was amazed at the turnout for this parade.  It was mostly just people marching from the 5 minutes we saw.  Did you know that it's legal to go topless in Columbus?  SO gross.
After purchasing our goods... we spent the last little bit checking out the amazing quilts.  They were pretty incredible this year!
I learned that I have a huge crush on 1930s fabric.  I can't wait to make a quilt out of all of these beauties!
One of my favorites... I'm hoping to make a baby quilt out of this someday for a future Wilde baby.
I didn't take a single picture of the three of us!  Lame, lame, lame!
We didn't want to go home just yet so we stopped to see a movie.  We didn't realize until we got in there that it was one of those places that serves you dinner while you watch the show!  SO much fun.  We saw What to Expect When You're Expecting.  I haven't laughed that hard in ages!
It was just the break that I needed!  I can't wait for next year!
