Jeremy celebrated his 33rd birthday today! I am so lucky to be married to such an incredible man. He makes me laugh, lets me cry, is the best daddy ever, and an even better husband. I am one lucky girl.
He is the hardest person in the world to buy gifts for.... so he bought himself golf clubs! He's become rather obsessed as of late. The sport truly suits him and I'm so happy he found something fun to do with friends. His clubs came a few days early and he was so excited!
He pulled each one out to tell me all about what it does. I tried really hard to be interested. He has since been out several times with friends. He is one happy camper!
I decided that even though he bought himself his own gift... I still wanted to get him something. The kids and I set out for Target one day while he was golfing and each of them picked out the perfect gifts for him. His favorite cereal, board games to play with them, Magic cards, and a new shirt.
The day before his birthday we went to see Dave Matthews Band at a local outdoor theater. We were so excited!
Dave has been a favorite of ours forever... talk about crossing something off of your bucket list.
We went with our best friends. It was fun chatting with them before the show.
The crowd was amazing until the tail gators got there. We were surrounded by families and truly felt like we had the perfect spot.
The show began... Dave was incredible! The tail gators... not so much.
These two are great friends. I love it when my husband gets along with my friends husbands!
This was Henry's third concert! He loved it... he was moving all over the place.
After several songs we realized we had had enough of the smoking, the drugging, the porno dancing, the drinking, and the pipes...
We found a spot farther up the hill away from it all. We lasted a few more songs until we realized that now we were surrounded by the pukers... so we left. It was the first time in my life in my adult life where I felt like I needed to get out of a bad situation. Lucky for us... since we left ahead of the crowd we were able to get a golf cart ride back to our car that was parked at least a mile or two away.
Jeremy didn't have meetings before church because he was the only member of the bishopric around that day. He spent the morning playing games with the kids and helping me get everyone ready. It was heavenly for both of us.
I asked Jeremy what he wanted to do for his birthday dinner and he said, "have dinner with friends in a metropark." I made it happen. What a blessing to have such an incredible ward family to share our happy times with.
The kids picked out his fancy birthday cake. I loved it! Rainbow Rainbow go go go!
