last day of school!

Today was the last day of school.  I have mixed feelings about this.  I love the structure that being in the school brings.  My kids thrive on it.  But, we are really looking forward to a fun filled summer.

Each of the kids had a class party where they were asked to bring a treat to share.  I did the prep work and they put them together.  We just picked out some of our favorite non-melting candy and added a card that read "See you later Alligator!  Hope you have a cool summer!"  Easy peasy watermelon squeezy.
We made the teachers a fun little succulent plant in a watering can from the dollar store.  Thank you pinterest.
Jayne has loved all of her little pre-school friends.  She keeps saying, "So, I'm never going to see Adalaide or Hailey ever again?!"  Poor girl.  She's my little social bug.
Her teachers were phenomenal this year!  Ms. Yvonne, Mrs. Blados (She taught Lincoln and Grace too!) and Miss Danielle.  We are going to miss them so much.
Little Miss Jayne and her best little school friends Adalaide and Hailey.  I am excited to finally use my pre-school skills and teach Jayne and Peter at home next year.  We'll have pre-school MWF and playdates TTh so she still gets some social time.
Grace had her end of the year party the day before the last day of school (that was a mouthful!)  We went over for a minute to get some pictures.  This is her and Ronetta.  They've been friends since Pre-school.

She had two teachers this year.  Both of them recently had babies and only teach for half the day.  We weren't able to get a picture with Mrs. Bondarenko but this is Mrs. Adair.  We love, love, love her!  I'm so glad that one of my children was able to be in her classroom.
Peter wasn't so sure about all of the second grade love.  Those kids fought over him until he cried. Poor guy.
Lincoln and Mrs. Beckles.  He was lucky enough to have her for 2nd and 4th grade!  We think she is pretty amazing.  We're going to miss her so much.
Grant and Lincoln.  These two are such good friends.  And such good kids.  They were constantly called the role models of the 4th grade.  I'm grateful my kids know how to make good friends.  I hope they continue to do so.
Lincoln and Mrs. Bee.  She was his ELA teacher (English).  He only had her for half of the year starting last January.  We are so happy he got to be in her classroom and learn from her!  She is pretty cool.
Graham and Mrs. Pollutro.  This woman is one of my favorite teachers ever.  She stood by Graham and fought for him this year and I will forever be grateful to her.  She has a big place in my heart.  We will miss her.
Graham and Mr. Carnabuci.  He had him for ELA.  I wasn't sure about him at first but was pleasantly surprised with how well he was with Graham.  (Graham hates end of the year pictures... can you tell?)
Our favorite Mr. Mac!  The school head custodian and official birthday wisher.  He loves this school and the children that go there and it really shows.  We will never forget him.
Ms. Woods and Mrs Pletnewski.  The school counselor and the school secretary.  We love them both dearly.
Principal Nicklos!  We had him for two of our years and Oxford and I really liked him.  He wanted a picture with the kids on his phone as well.  He gave us a heartfelt good-bye and told us how sad he is that we are leaving.  It really made me feel like we made an impact on this school.
 We're officially done with Oxford!
Since we are moving we will be changing schools.  This school has been a great experience for us.  The teachers have been amazing and the kids have learned so much from them.  We will be in contact with many of the teachers for years to come.  We are looking forward to our new adventures at Noble Academy.  A charter school in a neighboring town.  It's right on the way to Daddy's work so he will be able to drive them each day, and our good friends go to the same school.  The kids are psyched! (This picture melts my heart... I love that my kids love each other so much.)
Just for fun... look how much the kids have grown!!
 always the clown.....
 always the poser....
And another from their first day.  I love my kids so much!
Hooray for Summer Break!!!!!!
