new hair.

Gracie has been growing her hair out 'to her bottom like aunt Bethanie and Valerie'  for as long as I can remember.  Once it gets to a certain length, she gives up and wants to cut it short.  I usually give her a few weeks to change her mind and keep growing it out... but ultimately, it's her hair and I'm not going to stop her from wanting to get it cut short.  I think she's beautiful no matter what her hair looks like.  After two of her friends cut theirs shoulder length... she decided she was sick of growing it out and we headed to the salon.  Here's the before... it was getting pretty long!

 Waiting for her new look!  She was so excited!  I gave her full control of the situation.  I even let her tell the hairdresser how short she wanted it cut.

 That first snip!  She told me later that she "thought the lady was going to cut her hair bald!"

 She loves it... and it suits her personality so well!  It grows out super quick... I'm sure it will be back down her back before the summer is over!
