so brave.

Our kids are late teeth-growers.  They usually don't get their first teeth until they are at least a year old.  Because of this... their teeth fall out really late.  Grace just turned seven... and she still hadn't lost a tooth.  This is devastating to a little girl... who knew?!  She informed us one day that she had shark teeth.  Her two front adult teeth had already come up behind her two front baby teeth on the bottom.  It was really cool... but the baby teeth needed to come out.  They were loose, so she worked on them every day by eating lots and lots of apples.  One day Jeremy asked her if he could just pull one of them out because it was SO close to falling out.
After very little coaxing, she decided to let him.
She said, "It's just going to hurt for one tiny second... right?"  and then she let him try...
After one second of pain.... she lost her first tooth!  She was so thrilled!
She was most excited to use the little tooth fairy pillow Grandma Wilde gave our family a few years ago...
Before she went to sleep she whispered to me, "I think I'm the oldest person in the world to lose their first tooth!"  Now she's working hard on the second one.

we have the opposite problem- my babies have all their teeth by one, not very fun if you ask me. in Jeremy's is it bad if the teeth come in behind? Do you have to pull the front ones out asap?

Sad that Grace was so worried about it! I'm glad that you figured it out. A lot of things that I worried about as a kid I never talked to anyone about because it just didn't occur to me to tell anyone!
