new goal.

One of the things I am most thankful for in my life is my testimony of the Gospel.  I am so grateful to have a temple that is fairly close to home.  We haven't been taking advantage of going to the temple since we moved here and we decided that has to stop.  We set a goal to go down once a month, no exceptions.  We went this past month and had the best time!  Jeremy did the 9am session, we ate lunch, and then I did the noon session.  It was heavenly!  During my time with the kids we played in the primary room at the Stake Center next door.  I taught the older kids how to play MASH.  It was way too much fun.  When they were tired of being cooped up we went and walked around the temple grounds until Jeremy was finished.
Peter was so happy to be outside!
I came around the corner and they were all sitting down ready for a picture!
They have each recently been given little 'puffball' stuffed animals that have become members of our family.  They go pretty much wherever we go.  They each wanted to pose with their new friends.  Here's Gracie and Isabel.
Peter kept throwing his little zebra behind his head... he's so silly lately.
Lincoln and Puffball.
Graham and Fuzzball.
Jayne and stripey caterpillar.
This is my new favorite picture...
And Peter's done.
Silly pictures!
Sometimes I have to pinch myself... it's hard to believe they are all mine.
Taking a little snooze...
Jayne insisted on this picture...
I'm so thankful for the temple and the chance it gives me to feel so close to my Heavenly Father.  We received some pretty big answers to prayer while we were in our individual sessions.  I am so grateful for the Holy Ghost and the chance I have to communicate with my Father in heaven through prayer.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks for this post, you've inspired me! We've been having a hard time adjusting to going to the temple regularly now that we have jack. We finally find a time that works and get a babysitter lined up and then something always, like jack getting sick. I just need to accept that we might have to go separately for a little while! I know it's ridiculous that we have a hard time when we live so close... I love going to the temple though, we're going to make it happen!
