anniversary.

Since it was our tenth anniversary, we decided to celebrate with something a little fancier.  We called our best friends and they were kind enough to take our kids overnight.  We drove half an hour away to this little town and stayed in the Inn at Brandywine Falls.  It was heaven on earth.  Set in the countryside.  Gorgeous. I loved everything about it.  Especially the little goat that was roaming around on the property.  We stayed in the granary.  It's situated in an updated barnhouse behind the actual inn.  It was so cozy and perfect for our little getaway.
Here's the main room.  There is a bathroom to the right and a little sitting area behind me.  So adorable.
The bed is up this winding staircase in the loft.  I love the exposed beams and barnwood.  I would love to have a cabin like this someday.
We went into town for dinner.  We opted for chinese and loved Noble House.  It was a bit pricey... but it was our tenth anniversary so we splurged!  SO yummy.
I cannot believe that it's been ten years since we were married.  I am so happy I get to spend eternity with this fine man.
In the morning we explored the property a little bit.  We were sitting next to this little pond when we spied tadpoles and this little frog.  We had to take a picture for our Graham.  He loves frogs so much.
We opted to have our breakfast brought to our room instead of eating with all of the guests in the main house.  We are anti-social like that.  The innkeepers were so adorable and so friendly.  I couldn't resist taking a picture of George while he set up our breakfast.
Homemade oatmeal with granola, hot chocolate, fresh fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice and homemade bread with strawberry jam / raspberry butter.  Divine.
After breakfast we went and explored Brandywine Falls.  It is gorgeous!  We added it to one of our favorite places in Cleveland.  We can't wait to take the kids back there soon.
We said good-bye to the inn and went to see this flick.  I actually really enjoyed it.  The comedy relief was great.  It made me want to rent the Iron man movies.  They're the only ones that I hadn't seen before because I'm not a huge Robert Downey Jr. fan.  This movie made me a believer in him (we saw Sherlock Holmes last weekend and I started softening up to him as an actor, but this one put me over the edge.)
After the movie... actually, no... it was before the movie... we went to my favorite Mexican Restaurant in honor of Cinco de Mayo.  It was delicious and we stuffed ourselves until we were ready to burst!
Definitely an anniversary to remember!
