teacher appreciation.

Usually Teacher Appreciation Week comes and goes and I have no idea that it's happened.  This year I wanted to be a little more on top of things and so I planned ahead so I didn't miss it.  The kids were super excited to help out with the ideas and the actual putting together of the gifts.  I found tons of ideas on pinterest and let the kids pick which ones they wanted to give their teachers.  We opted to do five little gifts (one for each day) instead of one big one.  Here's what we came up with:

"I'm so lucky to have you as my teacher this year!"
(chinese take-out container from Wal*Mart, filled with rolos, tied with a ribbon)
 "You're simply the best!"
(Simply orange juice.  I've seen this done with their lemonade as well.)
 "You are scent-sational!"
(a candle.  I saw this on pinterest done with car fresheners.)
"The difference between ordinary and extraordinary
is the little extra!  Thanks for being an extraordinary
teacher for our {insert name of child}!"
(3 packs of extra gum, tied with a ribbon)
"I couldn't have picked a better teacher!"
(a carton of strawberries tied with a ribbon.)
I am planning on using some of the other awesome ideas I saw on pinterest to have a surprise 'kids appreciation week' this summer.  Hopefully they will love it!
