2:54. That's when our Christmas morning began. Well... technically it began around 1am when I caught Graham heading downstairs to check things out. After I sent him on his way back to bed... he woke everyone else up with a few friendly slaps on the face. They all began the whispers and the giggles and the squeals of delight in anticipation for morning. Jeremy and I groaned and mumbled and quietly whispered to "GO BACK TO SLEEP!" They had been given strict orders to stay quiet until at least 6am. Two hours later with not so much as a wink of sleep... we looked at each other and decided to embrace it and give the kids the best Christmas morning ever.
We assured them that this was a one time deal and it would never happen again... they thanked us by singing jingle bells as quietly as they could so they didn't wake up Peter. We lined them all up and took the traditional sleepy eyed picture. They were extra sleepy eyes this year.
And off they went!
I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. Let's just say we had a great Christmas morning.
This picture makes getting up that early worth it. And the kids were little angels for the rest of the day. It was a Christmas miracle.
One of my favorite gifts...
We took these pictures on Christmas Sunday. I'm still bummed that they kids love Daddy more than me. They're so proper in my picture! :(
I hope you're Christmas was as Merry as ours!
