My bestie is pretty much one of the most talented people on the entire planet. She is so thoughtful and shares her talents with me through making me amazing gifts. This year I cried buckets when I opened her Christmas gift to our family. She made us this adorable felt advent calendar! They have one at their house and I have been not-so-secretly pining after it since the moment I laid eyes on it.
She even personalized it and made cute little ornaments that match our family. Kermit is my very favorite. She nailed it. He looks so cute! Next year I'm going to put him in the first spot so I can look at him all month long. She even made a tooth for Jeremy. :)
She has been working on it since July. When I heard that I cried more because I can't get over what a thoughtful gift this is. Hours and hours of time put in for my little family. It makes me get teary just thinking about it.
I am so grateful that I get to have another little piece of my best friend in my home each Christmas. This is something that I will forever cherish.
Last year she made us this amazing nativity quilt. For now it resides on the back of a chair. I am hopeful that I will be able to find a quilting bar to hang it on the wall for next year. This house is so tiny there is no where to hang it.
She stitched each little block by hand. Again... the love poured into this quilt is priceless. I am so grateful for such good friends in my life.
Jayne and I made this banner for our mirror on a day that all of the kids were in school. It says, "All is Calm, All is Bright". It makes me grateful for the calm moments in our house. They are few and far between sometimes.
I was so sad when the roof to my candy jar fell and broke last year. We still use it even though there is no lid. This year I found these amazing tootsie pops that are peppermint candy on the outside and tootsie roll on the inside! I'm seriously going back to buy the rest of them. They are so yummy.
