sentences messages.

Graham is smart.  Like really smart.  He picks up on things that I don't pick up on.  He's at the top of his class at school even though he's one of the youngest.  It's remarkable.  He has to write sentences for each of his spelling words each week.  He has a lot of spelling words.  Last week he had 24.  It's kind of ridiculous really... he's in 1st grade!  I don't remember having that much homework when I was in 1st grade.  I had to giggle when I saw his spelling sentences the other week...  Either he pays attention to the issues of the world... or he's writing non-sense.  I'll go with the latter.
 "Men are getting in love."

Jeremy and I are really into the Five Love Languages book.  It has helped us a lot in our marriage and with our relationships with our kids.  Once you know how to speak someones language... it's so much easier to show them that you love them.  We have Jeremy's figured out.  It was easy.  We've decided that I am a puzzle.  Jeremy thought I was service for years and years... but I'm really not.  I like it when he serves me... but I kind of expect him to help out... you know?  So I didn't really feel loved.  We thought maybe I am gifts... but I hate that I may be gifts.  It's not that I need you to buy me presents... because that's crazy.  But... I show my love through gifts.  So maybe I am.  I don't know.  We're still trying to figure it out.  The other day I came downstairs and saw this on our little chalkboard in the kitchen.  It made me smile.
I admit that I am not very good at accepting gifts.  I don't get super excited... sometimes there is no reaction at all.  I think it makes Jeremy crazy.  I am a little impossible.  Apparently he wanted a reaction for cleaning the kitchen.  I tried hard!

I love that book! It has really helped Darryl and I too. My 'language' is a bit of a puzzle too, very much in fact like your. Gifts...nah. But I love giving them. Service...maybe but the expectation as his role as a husband and father to help out is also there. So...? It's hard. We figured out within minutes what the hub's language is. Haha!

I like Graham's sentences! What a smart kid! Wow!

And hundreds of seconds? If you put it that way it sounds like a remarkably LONG time. ;)
