moving day!

We are officially in our new home!  Yay!  Since I write my blogs a bunch at once and schedule them out over the week so that there is only one post a day instead of seven on one day (longest sentence ever).... I have no pictures to show you of the new place.  These are from the week before...

Our neighbors moved a week before we did.  I was so jealous of that moving truck!
It was so weird to see our house get so empty.  It became super real that we were actually moving on the day we took down all of the pictures and things that make our house a home.
I have been having fun buying things that we will need in the new home.  I haven't gone too crazy since I want to be in it before I buy certain things.  I saw these little containers and knew I had to have them for our laundry baskets!  They are so fun.
A friend of mine showed up with dinner out of the blue one day.  She knew how stressful moving and being pregnant at the same time can be.  I am so grateful for friends like her!  She tried to bring it earlier and I wouldn't let her.  I am not the best at accepting help.  Jeremy told her that you can't ask... you just have to do it.  He knows me well!
The kids have had fun playing with the boxes.  We have had to get really creative since we have no toys around!
We also have to check the boxes before we pick them off the ground... you never know when there is a child in them!
It has been fun to see different vans and trucks parked in our driveway.  We have renters coming and have been fixing things up for them.  Things that I have just dealt with for years, but someone else might not want to.... like leaky faucets and showers.  One of the things we did with the move that was the best money we ever spent was hired a maid service to come in after all of our stuff was out of the house.  It relieved so much stress to know that I didn't have to deep clean everything.
I have tried not to do any crafting until we're settled in and I know exactly what I want to do with each room. I have been in the house multiple times and knew that I wanted a picture border in my kitchen.  At first I thought it would be fun to have old family pictures up... but then I found these vintage Hummel prints on etsy.  $6 for a set of 12 postcards!  They are my new favorite.  (This is only half of the pictures that will be hanging.  Can't wait to get them up on the wall!

Whew, moving and 7 months pregnant. You're brave! I'm glad all is going well with the moving in and fixing things up. So much fun!
