Our sweet Jaynie girl turned five last month! It was such a nice day. She is a wonderful little girl. We thank our Heavenly Father every day for letting her come to our family. On the morning of her birthday we opened presents as a family. She was spoiled rotten!
For dinner she asked for giant rolls and soup. I had no idea this was her favorite meal! So delicious. She wore her new Princess Sophia dress and carried her dolls everywhere we went for about a week.
We had cake and ice cream with our friends, the Hales on her birthday. She wanted brownie cake, which I found out is regular brownies with chocolate frosting on top. Easy peasy.
We had her birthday party the weekend after because of Stake conference. It was such a fun little party. She wanted to have a 'baby' party. We spent lots of time sewing quilts, diapers, wipes and diaper bags the weeks before. I always say I'm going to go simple and then I get carried away....
At least the cake was simple...
This was all we made to decorate. My favorite thing ever. She is so adorable.
The party only lasted an hour which was perfect. We had each friend bring their baby doll and we went on a hunt throughout the house to find things that would help us take care of them.
Then we spent time taking care of them. They changed their diapers, fed them, swaddled them. They seemed to all enjoy themselves... even the little boys that came.
The whole crew. I promise the boys had just as much fun as the girls. You just can't tell by the pictures...
My older helpers wanted to get in the picture as well. I didn't realize what a teeny girl Jayne is. Most of her friends are a year younger than her. She's a shorty just like her mommy.
Time for cake!
Present time! I realized that I need to teach my kids some present opening etiquette. When she opened a gift and found out that she already had it she yelled, "Are you kidding me?!" Over and over. I was so embarrassed.
We love our Jayne!
