cousins!

A few weeks before we had Henry we found out that my mother-in-law wasn't going to be able to come out and help me when we was born.  Then we found out my best friend wasn't going to be able to come.  So I was only going to have a week of help.  I was so afraid and anxious and falling apart.  I knew that my little sister would be living with us at that point, but I was still nervous.  I called my older sister and she was kind enough to volunteer to come out after my mom left... and then we asked my sister-in-law and her girls to come the week after that.  I knew that I would be feeling okay at that point and wouldn't need too much help, but would want the company and the playmates for my kids.  A few weeks before my sister was scheduled to come out she fell down and broke both legs.  So sad.  Tragic really.  She wasn't able to come out.  Something about that week... I wasn't supposed to have help I guess.

My sister-in-law and her girls were able to come out and it was so nice!  Jayne was so happy to have a playdate for a whole week!  They played really well together (most of the time).  I love watching my kids with their cousins. There is this instant connection.  It's the best.
We got to meet darling Kate for the first time.  She is the sweetest baby!  It will be fun when these two get older and can pal around together.
We tried to take naps together... it never lasted.
The older kids loved the time with Lily as well.  So many lazy days at home with family.  It was so nice.
We did get out of the house a few times.  We spent one evening with Chuck-E-Cheese.  Lily's favorite.
Jessica was kind enough to fill my deep freezer with amazing meals before she went home.  We are still enjoying them.  It has been so nice to have them.
Good-byes are always hard....
