amish country.

I have the best friends in the entire world.  My bestie celebrated her birthday a few weeks ago and we surprised her with a little overnight getaway to Amish Country.  It was so much fun!  After a few late husbands... and some grumbles from us... we were on our way!  We got stuck in traffic which wasn't very fun...
We decided to get off the parking lot of a freeway and eat dinner... at my favorite Mexican Restaurant, Abuelo's.  SO good.  I want some right now.
I've only been there twice... and I have ordered the street tacos both times.  They are so yummy.
But this is my true love... their delicious chips!  They are so thin and crispy.  To die for.  Yum.
We had booked a little cabin in Amish Country for the night.  When we got there it was totally dark everywhere.  We found the cabin and could not for the life of us get the door to open!  They used key codes and ours totally didn't work.  I think it was frozen solid because it was so cold.  After talking to the owners they decided to upgrade us to a little cottage right in the middle of town.  After being told to "look for the dumpster and turn right"... we were a little skeptical.
Once we found it we were so excited!  It was so cute!  (This was taken in the morning when we could actually see the outside).
There were two stories and it was gorgeous.
I still regret not taking my swimsuit so I could enjoy that tub!  (I didn't really want to get in by myself when I had come for a girls night...)
There was even a sauna!  We used it to hide in and scare each other.  We are children at heart.
My favorite decoration... a pig.  So random.
The view from our giant king size bed.  Yeah... we all slept in the same bed.  We're cool like that.
Can you see why I love them so?
Our husbands asked what we did while we were there.... here is just a small sample.  Love you, Tye.
In the morning we got up and went down to Main Street to spend the day shopping!  So many fun little shops!
My favorite was seeing all of the carriages around town.
The chocolate shop was one of my favorites.  Although I left my adorable fabric there and they can't find it anywhere!  :(
My bestie, Kristen, and I... love her to bits.
And the three of us!  Friends forever!  Can't wait for our next adventure!
