I had a weekend at the theater a few weeks ago. My favorite place to go for Girls Nights, Date nights, or Mommy dates. My bestie and went to see the play "Pricilla: Queen of the Desert". It was part of the package when I got my season tickets last Fall. I knew that it would be risky... but my oh my. It made me blush so much! The costumes were amazing... Tony Award winning amazing. But, these awesome gowns were not worn by women. The show is based on three drag queens... yeah... we barely made it to intermission and were out of there! We went to Cheesecake factory and tried to drown those images with nachos and cheesecake. Still a super fun, memorable night!
The next day Jayne and I went to see the play "Guess How Much I Love You." It was basically a puppet show of the classic children's book. It was a much better show than the one the night before! Jayne insisted I take pictures of the blootyful ceiling and lights. She was so excited to eat a giant pretzel! She ate the entire thing by herself! They are so yummy.
After the show they came out and did a question and answer session. We were excited that they showed us how some of the puppets worked. We loved the giant shoe!
Jayne was excited she could bring her very own little nutbrown hair to see the play.
There's the momma nutbrown hare!
She started in her own seat... but by the end she was on my lap.
The theater cleared out really quick and they let us go up to the stage! She was thrilled she even got to touch it!
This is the smallest theater at Playhouse Square. I love it so much.
They even brought out the butterfly puppet and let Jayne touch it!
I love that my kids get to enjoy the theater with me! Best Mommy dates ever!
