Gracie adores the movie Alice in Wonderland. Especially the new Tim Burton one. She asked for a tea party for her birthday party this year. We kind of went with an Alice in Wonderland theme... but not overkill. It was such a fun party to plan and throw together. These were her invites...
We decided to do dinner, one of two games and dessert. Simple, yet fun. Everything had to be bitesize so we could put a little Eat Me sign in it. We even found tiny forks at Wal*Mart.Gracie planned the menu. At the top of her list were chocolate covered strawberries. My kind of girl.
We made simple party favor bags filled with a few little trinkets that had nothing to do with a tea party. Each guest also got to take home their tea cups and fancy glasses.
We made a few decorations out of leftover Valentines Day craft supplies.
We dressed up the dining room table with silver tulle and paper doilies for place mats.
I went to the thrift store a few weeks before and got tea cups and saucers and little goblets for each little girl. We dressed them up with ribbon to make them fancy.
All of the guests at the party! We requested that they dress up and wear a hat if they would like to.
My beautiful birthday girl.
Dinner consisted of all of Gracie's favorites.... noodles, Parmesan chicken, rolls, broccoli, hot cocoa and pink lemonade.
The drinks were the favorite because of the fanciness.
Eve's hat was my favorite.
Gracie thought of the games "Queen of Hearts Says", and "Hide the key". Super easy... super fun.
I saved the birthday cake for her actual birthday since Grandpa was going to be in town. She still got to blow a candle out...
Dessert consisted of chocolate covered brownies, chocolate cake pops, homemade reeses, and chocolate covered strawberries.
I think everyone enjoyed all of them...
Her friends spoiled her rotten with gifts....
All of her beautiful friends! It was such a fun party. I want to do it again for me and my friends!
A huge thank you to my two best friends for helping me out so much! They helped make the food and stayed to clean up after everything. It was a crazy, stressful time for me and I couldn't have done it without them. Thank you, ladies!
