little girls night.

One of the highlights of our trip was taking the little girls for a fun girls night.  We started with dinner....
Then we headed to a salon that is just for little divas.  We were about an hour early so we had to get creative.
We had a mini-photo shoot!  You can tell who is the little poser of the group.....
Once it was time... the girls were treated to a yogurt facial... (they seriously just put yogurt on their faces!)  They thought that was so funny...
Then it was time for pedicures.  Gabbie kept saying, "This is the best day ever!"  It was adorable.  As you can see they all got rather comfortable.
Last was manicures.  They were seriously in heaven with all of this pampering.
I knew that an old friend of mine lived in the area.  She saw our instagram post of the girls photo shoot outside and told us that she worked right there and was only ten minutes away!  I was so happy when she drove back out to visit with us.  It was so fun to catch up with her.
Our last stop was ear piercing for the two birthday girls.  After a serious tornado warning... and spending about a half an hour in the back of Wal*Mart with the rest of the guests waiting for the sirens to stop... we finally go to the ear piercing.  (Who knew Wal*Mart did ear piercing!  They did a phenomenal job and it was about a fourth of the price of getting it done at Claire's or some other fancy shop.) Maddie was super brave and went first.  She was so cute.  She closed her eyes and said, "I'm going to my happy place."
They had their own little cheerleading section on the other side of the counter.
Gracie tried to be really brave.  Maddie coached her about how to find her happy place.  She thought of her best friends Eve and Gabby back home.  After several minutes she said, "I need to go to the bathroom."
After a short trip to the bathroom (no using the bathroom was needed... it was just a cover up to call Daddy for a pep-talk) we headed back over to the jewelry counter.  The lady was so patient and nice to Gracie.
She coached her through the whole process and made sure she was feeling okay with everything.
She ended up doing it really quick when Grace wasn't expecting it.  Once the first one was in, the second one was a breeze.
I was so proud of her!
Look at those beautiful girlies!
