33 big ones.

I turned 33 last week.  Funny thing is... I don't feel old.  I should probably care a little bit more about aging... but I just don't.  I figure we all grow older... so what's the big deal?  I received the best birthday gift ever.  My best friend came to visit me from Utah!  She wanted it to be a complete surprise and just show up on my doorstep, but she knows me well enough to know that I wouldn't want to be surprised.  I knew what day she was coming... but not what time.  The kids helped me make a sign to hold in the airport.  It was more than beautiful.
Reunited!  It felt surreal until I saw her and then I nearly wet my pants I was so excited.  It was as if she had never left... we picked up right where we left off.  It was heaven.
The two of them had planned a fun getaway down to Columbus to celebrate.  On our way down there was an accident which caused a huge delay.  It was okay for awhile because we were all catching up with each other but it got old pretty quick.
We pulled off for a potty break and found an old antique mall.  They both love antique shops.  I kind of do.  We had so much fun being silly together.
When we got to the hotel they had newspapers.  I usually don't give a second glance to the news but I saw Kermit!  The new Muppet movie came out that weekend and there was a fun article about it in the paper.  I kept it.  I just love them so much.
We were able to go to the temple.  It was so busy we could barely get in!  We made it to the 8pm session on a Friday night.  I was amazed at how full it was!
There is something so incredible about being in the temple with friends.  I love these ladies so so much.
If you know me well... you know that I have a crazy side.  It doesn't come out very often... but when it does... get ready.  I was in a mood at the hotel.  We went to get ice from the ice machine and I thought it would be fun to dance to Ice Ice Baby down the hallway.  It was a blast.  I raced the other two down the stairs (they took the elevator).  I didn't walk down the stairs... I danced down the stairs.  I ran into a guy on the way.  That was fun.  Then I ran into him again in the lobby.  That was awkward.
My mom posted this amazing picture of me when I was little on facebook.  I can see my children in me.
The next day we went shopping.  Lame shopping.  The kind where the stores are all too expensive and nothing fits.  We found a Disney store and bought some Muppets.  That made us feel better.  Then we went to this theater that is a restaurant and a theater all in one.  It was way overpriced... but it was worth it!
These guys are the best.  The perfect way to end a yucky shopping day.  Cheered me right up!
While we were away Lincoln was at the Science Fair.  It was for all of the Charter Schools in the area so there were a ton of kids.  He won 3rd place at his schools fair a few weeks ago so he was able to go and compete one more time.  I was telling my friends how I didn't think he would win anything when I got a text from Jeremy saying he had won first place!  I was such a proud mom.
Sunday was my actual birthday.  I woke up and got in the shower.  When I came out I found this lovely lady on my bed!  She and Lincoln love to make me breakfast in bed on special occasions.  She's such a sweetheart.
I was spoiled with Muppets this year.  I added four more to my collection.  This picture makes me so happy!
Later that week Jeremy took me to a fun restaurant and spoiled with me gift cards and the new Muppet movie soundtrack. He knows me well!   It was a great birthday!
