birthday girl!

Gracie turned nine last week!  I still can't believe it.   My kids are growing up way too fast.  We had fun celebrating with her all day long.  Her birthday was during spring break so she was thrilled she didn't have to go to school.  She was less than thrilled that she had to go to pack meeting that night... but that was the only sadness of the day.
Henry enjoyed trying to eat her wrapping paper.  He is in the put everything in your mouth stage.  He's also rolling around everywhere.  It won't be long until he's mobile.
All of her dreams came true... she got the lego castle, the lalaloopsy loopy hair and a Harry potter scarf.
Her first request for the day was to eat lunch at Olive Garden with the whole family.  This is a real treat because we rarely go to restaurants as a family.  We don't love the attention that it brings to us.  Or the price tag...
We had the best experience!  The kids were pretty good and we were able to get there pretty close to opening so it wasn't too crowded.
They don't do anything for birthdays (lame)... but our server was adorable and brought her a little cup of whipped cream with a cherry and some candles.  We sang to her and she felt loved.
Her second request was to go on a date with Daddy.  She loves to go to the driving range with him.  I thought it was all Jeremys idea... but nope.  She loves it.
They are so adorable together.  She is such a Daddys girl.
Waiting for her bucket of balls.
She's got mad skillz.
Afterwards they stopped at Wendy's and had french fries and frosties.
She declared it the best birthday ever... that's the best news for me!
