the derby.

Last week was Lincoln's final pinewood derby.  That is crazy.  I refuse to believe it.  Lucky for us, Graham will start next year.  That is also crazy.  

 Jeremy has lots of skills... but cutting pinewood derby cars just isn't one of them.  They opted to buy the pre-cut car from Hobby Lobby this year.  I do not believe that it is cheating.  They had fun putting it together and adding weight to it.  I had fun painting it with a tiny bit of help from Link.

 This year they had high hopes for the car.  It was going to take state.

 All the cars lined up in the impound lot.  Lincoln named his 'car'.  Very original.

 Jayne had fun dancing with her friends and pretending that she was in her own land of princess-ville.

 Petey had fun escaping from the gym and making silly faces with me.

 He was good to stay put while Lincoln was racing.

 This guy got passed around quite a bit... but was happiest laying underneath a chair.  He could not be cuter!

 The big race....  That kid had been the champion for years.  If not him, then his older brother.  He won again this year.  Jeremy went and learned all the tricks from his dad.  They sit next to each other on the High Council.

 He even got to race himself one time.

 So proud of 'car'.  He ended up winning three out of four races.  Not too shabby!
