Conference weekend has come and gone. It amazes me how fast the sessions go as an adult. I wish we could have them a little more often. It is so nice to shut out the world for a few days and just hunker down and listen to the words of the brethren.
I decided to simplify our conference basket this time instead of buying a bunch of cheap crafts that just get thrown away. I printed off several different things from sugardoodle and pinterest. They didnt' really get touched. I should know by now that my kids don't love them. But... I will probably keep printing them just in case.
Graham, Lincoln and I did a few puzzles together. That will definitely be a new tradition.I love the snuggle time with this guy!
This is what it looks like at our house during conference. We make the kids stay in the same room so that they can listen a little bit. They had fun coloring, eating treats, and working on the puzzles.
It hit me that during the October session of conference we had a newborn! It's amazing how quickly they grow in just six months!
Saturdays puzzle....
Conference weekend is about good food. We enjoyed cinnamon rolls, muddy buddies and cinnamon sugar almonds on Sunday.
The kids created some fun scripture related lego scenes during the Sunday afternoon session.
Sundays finished puzzle.
What an incredible weekend. So many powerful messages shared. I am going to steal my sister-in-laws idea and listen to the talks each day while I am getting ready. It is so nice to have them so readily available.
