graduation ceremony.

Graduation day!  The day we've been dreaming of!  It kind of snuck up on us, we've been so busy.  As we were getting out of the car to head in to the party, the reality of what was happening finally set in.  We're DONE!  Crazy!

The dental school is kind of lame and they don't do a big hoopla for the graduate students.  I think they should include them in the regular dental school graduation so we get the whole deal on graduation day.  Or at least give us a fancy formal dinner with an awesome ceremony or something.  Instead they have a pool party in the program directors backyard.  Lame.  Lame.  LAME....

At least they do something though... right?  We had fun.  It was so fun for me to meet all of the people that have taken care of Jeremy while he's been away these past two years.  They are all genuinely good people. He's had a great time.  So glad that it is over!  He's his fantastic program director, Andre Mickel, looking all chill ready to start the program.
Dr. Hans.  He's the ortho program director and the dean of the graduate department.
Dr. Goldberg, the dean of the dental school came...
He said a few words that made everyone laugh.
Dr. Uhrich and his lovely wife, Roberta.  Jeremy will be taking over their practice.  Apparently they thought the dean was hilarious!
Dr. Mickel gave several cards and books out to the different staff members that came.
He even gave Roberta some yummy chocolates.  He's a very generous man.
Dr. Montagnase, he's a full-time endo faculty member.
He and Jeremy had their ups and downs, but in the end they are friends.
Igor!  One of Jeremy's favorite attendings. He jumped in the pool with his clothes on to save his daughter's life.  It was pretty awesome.
Miss Gladys.  She's the amazing receptionist.  She was always so nice to the kids and I whenever we would come and visit.  We're all going to miss her.
Heidi.  She's another secretary.
Mark, one of the other residents.  He and Jeremy are great friends.  Very different, but still great friends.  We'll miss him.
Reese, another resident.  He is a member of our church and was the chief resident for their year.
Brandon, another resident.
My handsome hubby.  So proud of him.
Dr. Mickel gave him a little book of deep thoughts.  He thought he would enjoy something deep.... that's my Jeremy!
Even though it's blurry... I love this picture.  Jeremy brings so much joy to everyone around him.
They asked each of them say a few words after they accepted their certificates.
All of the residents went in a few gifts for their professors...
A few of the first years and incoming residents...
