the grand parade.

The parade... aww.... the parade.  I love it so.  I have fond memories of staying out late saving spots with my family.  My dad would always get talked to by the police several times for setting out his stuff too early.  This year we weren't able to help save spots because of all of our little children.  I was okay with that.  ;)

We were lucky enough to have both of our families in the same spot.  It was perfect.  The 4th of July is my little sister's birthday.  Growing up she thought the whole world was celebrating her big day with her.  This year there was a radio announcer person right across the street from us.  We told them it was her birthday and they made her dance stand in the street while everyone around us sang to her!  We also made a Happy Birthday sign so lots of people in the parade wished her a Happy Birthday.  Love you, Meg!
We had so much fun hanging out all morning with so many of our favorite people!
Gramma was even prepared with crafts for the kids!
And games for the adults!
This little one scared the heck out of us by wandering down the street during the pre-parade.  We found her quickly but it was very scary.
Valerie and baby Jack and their 4th of July tattoos.  My kids are still asking me why baby Jack had a tattoo.
Jayne's favorite floats were the ones with princesses in them.  Real or pretend... she didn't mind.  She called the city royalty Queens.
Someone blinged me out with a fancy headband...
My sister-in-law Meshelle and I with our matching headbands...
I jumped in on someone elses photo!  Darling boys.
Bethanie is in marching band!  She's the third from the left.
Lily's dress was the cutest thing I have ever seen.  Her mom is so so talented.  I want to be like her someday.
Connor's shirt was my favorite.
One of my favorite families in the whole entire world.
Best cousins forever!
Peter tried on the headband for a minute....
Mmmmmm.... licorice.
Sweet baby Jack.  I want to reach through the picture and kiss him!  He's SO yummy!
After the parade the kids found a guy making balloon creatures.  Lincoln asked for a parakeet (he's obsessed with them right now.)
Jayne loves Cameron.
May I have a flower?
