Our Gracie-girl got a guinea pig for her birthday last April. She has done pretty good with taking care of her.... but she isn't very fond of taking her out of her cage to play with her. Guinea pigs are very social animals and I was feeling very sorry for our little Fluffy. She just wasn't getting the attention that she deserved. After lots of talks and a few tears... we decided it would be best to let her go home with our animal loving cousins. Gracie was such a champ. She handled herself really well even when it was time to say good-bye. She wanted to take a few pictures with Fluffy so she could always remember her.
We're so grateful that she went to live with cousins so we can still visit her a few times a year. We already miss her dearly. If anyone says the "F" word...(Fluffy).... Gracie gets really quiet and goes to her room for a few minutes. Usually we find her writing Fluffy a letter. She is so tender. She thinking of saving her money to buy a little gerbil to take care of. That might be a better fit for our family. So proud of my girl.
