our 4th, part 2.

We had planned to go and see The Croods at our local dollar theater and decided last minute that we didn't want to go alone.  We called our friends to see if they wanted to go.... surprising them by already being really close to their house.  They are the kind of friends that we could drop in on unexpectedly so that was a good thing.  They were excited to join us.
As soon as the credits started rolling Jayne said, "Can we dance now?"  And all of the kids ran to the front of the theater to get their groove on.  (She takes after her mother...)
Picture time!

After the movie we headed over to a bbq with friends.  Jeremy got everyone involved in a watermelon eating contest.  The missionaries are amazing!  Elder Aste ate a piece in 2.2 seconds! Seriously.... I saw it with my own eyes.
There were lots of friends... and lots of swimming!
Father/Son watermelon eating contest.
The girls were highly disappointed when the boys kept pretending to be dinosaurs (or swamp monsters) and messing up their fort.  Such a hard life.
We are so grateful to have such great friends.  It makes being away from Provo on the fourth a lot easier.  Nobody does the 4th like Provo.
