grandma and grandpa come for a visit.

Jeremy's parents surprised us by telling us that they were coming for a short visit on their way to a conference back east.  We were so excited!  This is a rare treat.  The kids set to work making welcome signs on the driveway after they texted us saying they were on the way over from the airport.

They enjoyed the surprise so much!
We did a few really fun things but my favorite was watching them interact with the kids in our home.  We have never had Grandma and Grandpa Wilde all to ourselves in our own environment.  It was amazing!  There is something to be said about having no other cousins around and getting so much one on one time. We felt so spoiled.  Graham had so much fun showing Grandpa all of the wildlife around our house.  He was most impressed with the groundhog that lives under our front porch.
Grandma brought the game "Spot it" with her.  Jayne asked her to play at least three times a day.
Grandpa disappeared after church on Sunday and we thought he had gone upstairs to rest... nope.  He was in Peter's room playing trains with Jayne.  They must have been up there for at least an hour or so.  Adorable.
More spot it with the whole crew.
Graham has been reading The Hobbit (crazy!)  Grandpa read him a few pages before bed one night.
Jeremy was able to go golfing with his dad one morning and had the best time!  Golfing is such a good father/son activity because there is so much time for talking to each other.  I think it will be a new tradition whenever they get to spend time with each other.
