I have been trying really hard to be a fun mom this summer. My kids thrive when we have fun things to do. We try to do a craft more than once a week. This week we had a lot of fun making these fun Butterfly sun-catchers!
I printed the template on black cardstock. Rather than follow their pattern for the inside, we made each one different. The kids didn't want to cut their own out, so I cut the butterflies and they added the tissue paper. It worked out rather nicely. We had a lot of fun creating patterns and making our butterflies "BLOOTY-FUL!" (as Jayne would say!)We stuck them on the window with double stick tape right on the center and then we bent the wings back so they look like they're flying. They're actually really pretty in the sunlight! I think we'll keep them up until the leaves change colors.
