movie night!

Jeremy has been really busy this week with work and church stuff.  The kids and I have had several nights where we don't see him at all.  We had a movie night one night when we needed a boost.  I made them vote on which movie we would watch (they wanted to watch a scarier one)...
I let each of them pick a candy at the store earlier that morning.

Graham = gummy bears
Mommy = gummy watermelons
Gracie = gummy worms
Daddy would have chosen sour patch kids
Jayne = sixlets
Lincoln = lemon drops

We tried Ellio's pizza because Graham said it reminded him of Uncle Elliot.  Horrible pizza.  Don't ever get it.
I caught a few snitchers....
We got our pajamas on.  (This is her new pose.)
They chose this awesome movie.  I remember being so terrified of the trolls growing up.  My kids took one look at them and said, "They are so fake!  They look like they could be just plain old scary Muppets!  They aren't scary at all!"  I'm glad we didn't have nightmares that night.
We popped some popcorn.  Peter choked and threw up. (I really thought he could handle it by now...)
Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves!
Can't wait for the next one!  We need some good ideas for movies... what are your family favorites... you two people that read and comment on our blog.  You know who you are....

We watched Napoleon Dynamite recently and the kids loved it. I like Sandlot, it's a classic.

MaKendree has watched Sandlot and loves it. The Princess Bride is fun. MaKendree has watched a couple of musicals with me (Newsies, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Singing in the Rain)

That looks like so much fun, I love movie nights! Jacob has been sick so we've been having movie nights a lot this week :) I'm afraid you already know my favorite kid movies though, Return to Oz and The Chipmunk Adventure. I'll let you know if I think of any other good ones :)
