11 years.

Jeremy and I celebrated 11 years of wedded bliss on May 2nd.  He surprised me with a little getaway to a nearby bed and breakfast.   It was the best getaway ever.  Even though we only went 20 minutes away... I truly felt like I was thousands of miles away on our honeymoon all over again (only Mickey Mouse and the other Disney friends weren't included this time.)  It was so nice to spend so much quality time with him without the distraction of every day life.  I truly am married to my best friend.  We fall more in love every single day.  This past year of marriage has been our best year ever.  We have tried harder to connect with each other every day and it makes all the difference.  I feel so blessed to be married to such an incredible man.
We left the van with the sitter in case she wanted to take the kids anywhere.  We drove in Jeremy's ghetto car and had the best time.   We bought this little Saturn right before we got married and it has been really good to us for the most part.  I'm amazed that it's still kicking around.  We'll drive it till it dies.  If you haven't ridden in it... you don't know the amazing ceiling that it has.  All of the fabric has pulled away from the ceiling to reveal this gorgeousness that you can write your name in.  We had lots of fun reading all of the names and remembering friends from the past and present.  Feel free to add your name if you ever get the chance!
There is no air conditioning in the car so I enjoyed the wind blown hair look during our date.
I kept trying to take a picture of Jeremy and he would always turn his head!  He's pretty good at driving without looking!
We were going to stay at a new bed and breakfast in Chesterland.  When we arrived nobody was there, but there was a sign on the door to make ourselves at home and find our room.  Weird.  We found our room and weren't satisfied with it in the least bit.  After making several phone calls trying to get a hold of the owners we connected and were given the option to come back at a later date and stay in their nicest suite for free.  What a great anniversary gift!  Looks like we get to celebrate again in a few months!  (Trying to decide if we should do it pre or post baby...)

We called around and were able to get a room at a bed and breakfast in Willoughby that we know and love.  We stayed there a few years ago and I still remember the delicious breakfast and the adorable hostess.  We will be coming back to this place for years and years.  It is fantastic.
My favorite antique in the bed and breakfast....
We neglected to take any pictures that first night because we just forgot completely.  We ate a disgusting dinner at Red Lobster (I don't think we'll ever go back... it was that good.)  We planned on going to a movie but needed to kill a bunch of time.  We walked around the mall, tried to buy a new suit for Jeremy, perused a furniture store getting ideas for our new home, and picked up some frozen custard to sneak into the show.  We ended up hitting a wall and were both too exhausted to sit through a movie so we went back to our room and ate the custard and watched the special feature disc for the Hobbit instead.

The next morning we woke up and ate the best breakfast I have ever had.  Risotto fritatta, fresh berries and cream, the most delicious blueberry muffin I've ever had, and Johnny cakes for dessert.  (who eats dessert after breakfast?!?)  I can smell it now.  So yummy.

We checked out of our room and headed to the bowling alley.  I looked pretty stunning in my maxi dress and bowling shoes.
Jeremy really gets into his bowling.  He was pretty adorable.
I lost... it was so embarrassing... I'm usually the one that wins!  Jeremy thinks that I let him win but I really just played a really bad game.  (judging from the scores... we both did!)
We decided to play pool as well.  I haven't played in ages but I still managed to win!  Well, technically I lost because I didn't get the black ball into the right hole.)
We went to a matinee for the movie OZ.  I loved, loved it.  I have always enjoyed a good Wizard of Oz flick.  After the movie we went to Red Robin.  I got this amazing sandwich.  I'm still thinking about it.  Their fries are my very favorite of anywhere.  I can't wait to go back and get this same meal.
Then it was back in our beater car to head home.  By that point we were both dying to see the kids.  It was a long week for both of us and we were ready for some family time.  Jeremy got to spend a few minutes with them before he headed of to the leadership session of stake conference, followed by the adult session.  Back to life... back to reality!  So grateful we were able to get away together.  It was a date that I will never forget!  I love this man so very much.
