My little sister, Marta, got married to her sweetheart, Casey, while I was in Utah. I was able to go and help set up the wedding/luncheon/reception at the beautiful Wadley Farms location in Lindon. It was a beautiful day and she was a beautiful bride. It was a hard day because our entire family wasn't invited and we felt more like hired help than family... but I'm still grateful that I was able to be there for Marta. I still can't look at these pictures without getting emotional... I'm posting them for my siblings that weren't able to be there.
Before the wedding we helped set up the table centerpieces, hang the pom poms from the trees, put flowers on the cake... and take care of my sweet niece, Peityn. The bridal party was busy taking pictures... I'm so glad we were able to get there early to help out.
We were invited back to see the bride and take a few pictures with her. It was a bittersweet moment for sure.I was able to hold this adorable little baby through the entire ceremony which put me in the perfect spot to take loads of pictures... get ready.
Adorable Peityn ready to steal the show as the cutest little flower girl you ever did see. I love that she got to ride in the wagon.
A view of the luncheon/reception area. And here we go! Their friend was ordained a preacher online and was able to marry them. There were four or five bridesmaids/groomsmen from each side of their families (well, from the family Marta claims as her family, and Casey's family).
Nieces/nephews and Peityn were the flower girls and ring bearer.
Here comes the bride!
Casey's grandpa is a Stake Patriarch for our church and said a few words at the beginning of the wedding. It was my favorite part. Such a neat man.
There was a harp playing music throughout a lot of the ceremony. She did a wonderful job.
Time for the rings! Her little nephew said as loud as he could, "Marta! There's a bee behind you!" It was awesome!
You may now kiss the bride!
Such a beautiful couple....
And they're Mr. and Mrs. Casey Linford just like that!
Already basking in wedded bliss...
We snuck in a few pictures with her after everyone else had given their congratulations... as you can see... she was thrilled.
We took one more of our own before heading over to the luncheon. I'm so grateful for the time with these two gorgeous girls. I feel like I know them so much better after this trip.
This was at the door to greet the guests...
She was a drop dead gorgeous bride.
Magleby's catered a delicious brunch of french toast with whipped cream and raspberries, eggs, bacon, fresh fruit and muffins.
Cutting the cake...
My favorite part of the day...
The first dance. They are so in love.
I had a mini-meltdown... okay a major-meltdown during the father/daughter dance. It's a good thing my dad had already left to go back to work. It was so hard to watch my parents go through this day, and to not have all of my siblings there with us. I pray that someday her heart will soften and she will love all of us again. Still not sure what we did to deserve to be outcasts at her wedding...
I composed myself just in time for the throwing of the bouquet...
Saying good-bye to sweet Pei-Pei before they headed off on their mini-moon.
We cleaned up basically everything while the families were saying good-bye. We were lucky to make off with a few of the centerpieces before we went on our way.
You're next, Elina! We need to find a good man to be your sweetheart and that baby's daddy! :)
